Glasgow bar and restaurant owner Michael Bergson is back on the lookout for site number four for his successful Buck’s Bar brand, having thought he had secured a site in Glasgow’s west end.
Michael told DRAM, “The landlord has had a change of heart, after agreeing the final lease. It is a shame because months of planning and discussion have already gone into ideas for the site. I am disappointed. Now it is back to looking for another site in Glasgow. We are also looking for sites in other UK cities.”
The first Buck’s Bar opened in West Regent Street in 2016, which was followed by Trongate in October 2019 and the latest Buck’s Bar opened in February on Cathcart Road in Glasgow’s southside. Michael says. “It is doing very well. It’s right next to Hampden, so it is a perfect location.”
Michael concludes, “It is exciting to still be exploring new opportunities, I hope we find a site for Buck’s No 4 soon.”
