Queen’s House collaboration for Bridge of Allan

Queen’s House in Bridge of Allan is the latest project from trade entrepreneurs Graham Suttle and Mo Clark, of Kained Holdings but this time they have collaborated with Doug Wood of Woodwinters to open a new  cocktail and wine bar next to the wine and whisky shop on Henderson Street.

The new bar and restaurant, as a result of its collaboration with the wine merchants, offers customers a great range of wine and the bar also has, as you would expect from the team behind Lebowskis, The Finnieston and Porter & Rye,  a cocktail list which have been curated in-house, and a range of beer including local organic Scottish ales, American ales and Spanish lagers. There are also plans to create one of the UK’s most interesting whisky collections from exclusive and secret bottlings unavailable anywhere in retail.

On the food front the “globabally inspired menu” menu ranges from pizza to  in-house aged wagyu beef and steak from neighbouring farms.

Doug Wood of Woodwinters said, “This is a real passion project for us and having the two venues next to each other will allow us to showcase to our customers in both a retail and a luxury bar environment.”

Co-owner, Graham Suttle said,  “I had originally wanted to keep it simpler but given the depth of offer around us and how good it was, I felt we should push the boat out and bring something to the area that hadn’t been seen before.

He added, ““One of the biggest draws is our wine list.  Having Woodwinters wine as our neighbour meant it was a no-brainer to have them supply the wines.  From small producers to big name champagne houses, the list is a delight to read and even more spectacular to drink.  The chance to hold personal tastings next door is a unique addition to our service as well as our weekend magnum service with special guest servers on the evening.  It is a truly epic wine offer.”
