The Marine Troon, part of the Marine & Lawn Resorts Collection, will open its new restaurant and bar in June.

The 78- seater restaurant, The Rabbit, overlooks the 17th hole with views of Arran and Ailsa Craig.  The menus,  developed by Marine & Lawn Resorts Executive Chef and MasterChef: The Professionals 2008 winner Derek Johnstone, features hyper-seasonal and local ingredients together with Scottish seafood and game.  Local suppliers for the Ayrshire area will be used within the restaurant and bar in both the food and drinks. Hendricks gin will be used directly from it’s nearby distillery and single malt whisky from the Isle of Arran.

Dog friendly sister bar, The Seal, has been named after Royal Troon’s opening hole which can be seen from the bar. It has been designed with the comfort of the guests as the main focus.

Derek Johnstone, Executive Chef said: “We are so excited to be launching The Rabbit restaurant and The Seal bar in Troon this summer.

“Troon is a stunning coastal town with plenty of amazing Scottish produce on its doorstep.

“The menus feature really hearty and comforting dishes expertly created by our talented team. There are a range of options to suit all palates from light bites to larger plates, all to be enjoyed in casual surroundings with family and friends around the table.”
