To celebrate International Women’s Day, The Cocktail Mafia have teamed up with female bartenders from across the city to host a speed daiquiri competition in partnership with Angostura Rum to raise money for the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre.
The cocktail bar in Edinburgh’s West End will have some of the city’s top female bartenders go head-to-head to see who is the fastest Daiquiri maker. Top mixologists from the likes of Uno Mas, Voodoo Rooms, East Finch, Bramble and Nightcap have already signed up to compete. There are prizes up for grabs including a bottle of Angostura Rum and award-winning book, Girly Drinks: A World History of Women and Alcohol.
A special cocktail menu has also been created which will run until the end of March that takes inspiration from pioneering women in the industry with £1 from every cocktail sold being donated to the charity.
