Burger specialists El Perro Negro and craft brewer Vault City are to join forces this summer for a three-month summer kitchen pop-up menu at the brewery’s taproom, Porty Vault in Portobello.

This is the second Edinburgh venue to open since 2021 for El Perro Negro, winners of the National Burger Awards 2019 and 2021 and home to the best burger in the UK – the famous Top Dog.

Speaking of the collaboration, Adam Reid, Head of Bar Operations at Vault City said, “We’re over the moon to welcome the team at El Perro Negro to our sour beer hub in Portobello! Award-winning burgers and award-winning beers are a match made in heaven, and we can’t wait to kick off this exciting partnership.”

El Perro Negro Founder, Nick Watkins also spoke of his excitement about the launch, “We’re big fans of Vault City at El Perro Negro, so we were delighted and really flattered when the team suggested collaborating this summer. Their sour creations are the perfect pairing to our burgers and we can’t wait to serve them up together!”

El Perro Negro will pop-up at Vault City’s Porty Vault in Portobello from Friday 30th June.
