SMARTDISPENSE® is coming to Edinburgh on Tuesday 20th June with its Energy Well Spent ‘On Location’ event at Tynside Stadium –  a series of networking events featuring industry leaders and subject matter experts, independent operators and larger groups.

This free event, one of five across the UK, will open the floor to tackle some of the biggest issues currently facing the hospitality industry.

Panel discussions will include:

  • Staff recruitment, retention and wellbeing
  • Managing energy usage and costs
  • Reducing your carbon footprint
  • Using technology to simplify business operations, and much more.

The events will run from 11:00 to 15:30. Operators can register their interest for free via the SmartDispense® website.

The events present operators the opportunity to get involved in conversations with experts from the worlds of sustainability, customer experience, wellness, training and recruitment, alongside a breadth of hospitality businesses. From independent, local venues to larger national groups willing to offer insights into their own operations, and share the steps they have taken plus some learnings along the way. The panel discussions will revolve around collaboration within the space to encourage positive change, no matter the scale, and offer tangible support.

Richard Stephens, Head of SmartDispense® and Technical Services at HEINEKEN UK comments,“The success of last year’s Energy Well Spent activities showed us that there is a clear need for more conversation. We know that operating more sustainably can often come hand-in-hand with reduced costs, which is understandably at the forefront of every publican’s mind right now.

“These events have been designed to meet operators wherever they are in their sustainability journey.  There is no one-size-fits-all solution but we hope that, by encouraging discussion, our events can inspire operators to find new ways to optimise their businesses, make them more sustainable and benefit from cost and operational efficiencies.”

A 10-part Energy Well Spent: On Location bite-size video series will follow later this year, with expert panellists discussing their personal experiences, learnings and recommendations. Each three-minute episode will focus on an area of change that can be made to business operations, offering practical advice, and will be available on the SmartDispense® website from early September.

Further events for Energy Well Spent: On Location include:

  • MANCHESTER, 27th June
  • LONDON, 4th July
  • DONCASTER, 11th July
