Campari Group has announced that it has committed to acquire Courvoisier cognac from Beam Suntory, saying that it presents a “unique opportunity for Campari Group to enter the top league of super premium cognac category.” It will be largest deal in Campari Group’s history, and means that Cognac will complete the fourth “major leg of Campari Group along with Aperitifs, bourbon and tequila.”
