Pollstar’s year-end global charts reveal that 2023 was another good year for DF Concerts and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.
DF Concerts ranked #33 in the world rankings of concert promoters – and 4th in the UK – for concert grosses achieved (this excludes festivals which would take it into the top 20 globally). In terms of tickets sold for concerts (not including festivals), DF Concerts ranked #24 globally and, again, 4th in the UK.
King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut continues to punch above its weight on a global basis alongside venues 10 times its size. It is the 5th top UK “club” venue on grosses, despite the low ticket prices for the concerts that feature emerging local artists making it the only Grassroots Music Venue in the Top 200.
On number of tickets sold, King Tut’s ranks #59 in the Global 100 and 3rd in the UK, just a few hundred tickets behind the 02 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester which has a capacity of 3500 compared to King Tut’s at 300. Barrowland is #1 in the UK “club” venues in terms of grosses and ticket sales in the Global 100.
OVO Hydro, 02 Academy, Barrowland and SWG3 are also doing well and all have DF Concerts as their biggest client for live music.
