The owners of Hotel Indigo and Staybridge Suites Dundee, Percor Capital, have announced a £1m investment of their IHG dual-branded site.
The investment will see a new bar, Eighteen Twenty-Two, as well as a new lobby and more guest parking.
Eighteen Twenty-Two pays homage to the building’s historical past as a former linen mill, which was once the largest in the world and the oldest in Dundee. With a focus on regional malts, local gins, and locally-inspired cocktails the owners hope that it will become a destination for both connoisseurs and casual visitors.
Hotel Indigo’s addition of a new lobby and co-working spaces is indicative of the expanding trend of the Bleisure market with hotels providing mixed services for business travellers who want to combine work and play during a stay.
Work is expected to begin from this month and be on-going until early April 2024 and rooms, services and operations will not be affected.
