Tom Kitchen has invited three of the 2023 MasterChef UK Amateur Finalists to cooks to his East Lothian restaurant with rooms, The Bonnie Badger, on 21 March when they will work together to create a four-course menu.
The three contestants, winner Chariya Khattiyot, and finalists Omar Foster and Anurag Aggarwal, will create a menu through a shared love of spice, while they pass the cooking of one of the courses to Chef Tom Kitchin.
Hosted by Chef Tom Kitchin, the event will give guests the opportunity to hear about each of the finalist’s stories leading up to their participation in the show, how they found the pressure of the competition and their incredible journeys since appearing on MasterChef UK.
After making the final of MasterChef 2023, the trio – Anurag, Chariya and Omar – have all hit the ground running launching their food careers. Chariya has since appeared as a judge on MasterChef Thailand and is due to open her first restaurant Khao Soi by Chariya in April 2024 in Hampshire. Anurag has been working as a motivational speaker and launched his culinary storytelling experience Yatra at restaurants across the UK, while Omar has launched a food consultancy business and is writing his first cookbook documenting his love of experimental Asian cuisine.
