Aberdeen’s coffee, comedy and wine bar, Faffless, owned by Craig Thom, is moving from Netherkirkgate to Golden Square as it gets ready to expand. Thom is taking over the venue that was Olive Alexanders bistro and its basement bar Barbelow which closed earlier this year.

576FEBCB-22A0-4DE9-80A0-EBDD4168C89CFaffless will open a new art gallery and café in May, before launching a new absinthe bar, called Bonne Nuit, in the basement in July.

It will feature private dining for up to 40 people upstairs along with the main 40-cover main dining area, while the French-themed jazz bar will also serve late night food.  A 40-seater outside area is also planned.
