Scotland’s first listening bar debuts its Dim Sum Disco at the end of May to celebrate the end of National BBQ Month and the Bank Holiday weekend. The all day party includes the disco brunch, live disco entertainment, DJs, and “delicious food and flowing drinks”.
It’s a new concept for Glasgow and follows the recent renovation and relaunch of Mamasan Bar, BBQ and Records which takes its inspiration from 1950s Japanese listening bars, blending dining with a superior sound system, music, and cocktails.
Guests to the one-off all Dim Sum Disco will dine on their choice of three small plates from Mamasan’s Thai BBQ menu – developed in partnership by head chef Finn Steel-Perkins, and Great British Menu star, Ali Borer. The full menu is slowly cooked over a custom built Firemade grill, using a combination of charcoal, wood and freshly pressed coconut husks. Music comes in the form of Glasgow’s top DJs, accompanied by live vocalists and musicians.
