Only 9 months after opening, popular Edinburgh late night bar Freddy’s has already undergone an expansion to keep up with growing demand. The project, led by ARKA Design Studio, has seen the centre stage room double in size plus a new island bar installed. They have also created a private hire events space, upgraded the interiors and sound system throughout, and installed a new air-cooling system.

The venue which offers live music, cocktails and beers will see it’s new “Backstage” space open on Friday, July 19th. This will also be available for private hire. Meanwhile, the “Lobby” bar space at the front is open for walk ins and reservations all week long.

General Manager, Gavin Currie, says, “Freddy’s has surpassed all expectations, quickly becoming a staple in Edinburgh’s nightlife scene. We’ve grown steadily, hitting all our targets, and now, with this expansion, we’re set to solidify Freddy’s as the go-to late-night destination in the city.

“Our success is a testament to our great offerings, top-notch entertainment, exceptional service, and meticulous attention to the venue’s aesthetics.”

In the coming months, the venue’s owners will also be launching a brand-new sister location on Hanover Street.

Gavin adds, “We’re thrilled to announce our next venture on Hanover Street. This new concept will embody everything people love about Freddy’s, with even more under one roof and, of course, with that signature Freddy’s twist. Stay tuned, Edinburgh – the best is yet to come!”
