The Rum Shack on Pollockshaws Road in Glasgow are hosting a fundraiser this week in aid of Carriacou, an island in Grenada. The area was devastated by the category 4 storm, Hurricane Beryl, which ripped through the island at the beginning of July leaving the island’s inhabitants desperately in need of aid and support.

The event will be held on Friday the 2nd of August at 9pm and will feature resident DJs as well as a raffle with some amazing rum prizes and vouchers donated for the cause from the likes of Island Slice Rum, Goslings Rum and Angostura Rum.

All the ticket and raffle money will go directly to the Hurricane Beryl (Grenada) Appeal via the Government of Grenada. If you can’t make the event in person, you can also purchase a donation ticket.

You can donate directly using this link https://pay.gov.gd/

The Rum Shack are currently celebrating their 10th year of serving up authentic Caribbean cuisine plus bespoke and classic cocktails. They also have a selection of over 100 rums, a diverse entertainment schedule, and are open seven days a week.
