Isle of Harris Distillery is launching its first single cask ahead of the 2024 Hebridean Whisky Festival which begins next week.

51593371-C35D-44F8-BBE9-DC634F80E0D5Crafted by the same team behind the success of The Hearach single malt, the lightly peated single cask has been matured since 2018 in an ex-first fill Buffalo Trace Bourbon cask and is bottled at natural cask strength of 57.5% ABV.

The distillery joins six other distilleries from the Hebridean Whisky Trail for the festival – a week of celebration with exclusive tours and tastings across five Hebridean islands and their single malt whisky distilleries marking the trail as a must-visit destination for whisky aficionados. The festival takes place from September 9th to 14th and includes Jura Distillery, North Uist Distillery,  Isle of Raasay Distillery,  Benbecula Distillery as well as Talisker Distillery and Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye.

Simon Erlanger, Managing Director at Isle of Harris Distillery, said, “Our Hebridean heritage has always been the driving force behind the distillery and the spirits we create.

“Being a part of the Whisky Trail with other like-minded businesses allows us to celebrate the values that tie us together and showcase the beauty, culture, and craft of our region.

“Through our first single cask and the exciting events across all six distilleries taking part in the festival, we want to encourage whisky enthusiasts and visitors to Scotland to venture a bit further, and experience the incredible memories – and drams – these distilleries are creating.”
