Allied Leisure Group has appointed Inverarity Morton as its exclusive wine and spirits partner across its growing portfolio of Glasgow hospitality venues, following a competitive tender process.
The agreement comes as Inverarity Morton marks its 80th anniversary and will see the independent merchant supply tailored drinks lists across sites including Max’s Bar, La Cheetah Club, Room 2, Mikaku, and the group’s latest venture – Clydeside Containers, due to open on the River Clyde this summer.
Designed to match each venue’s individual identity, the partnership will focus on building bespoke wine and spirits ranges, supported by Inverarity Morton’s training, service and supply infrastructure.
Nathan Sparling, Operations & Marketing Director at Allied Leisure Group, said, “ We were looking for a partner who could match our ambition and understand the individuality of each of our venues. Inverarity Morton stood out not only for their exceptional portfolio and logistical capabilities but also for their commitment to collaboration and innovation. As we prepare to launch Clydeside Containers, their support will be instrumental in delivering a drinks experience that complements our diverse food offerings and vibrant atmosphere.”
Ian Cumming, Commercial Director at Inverarity Morton, said, “Marking our 80th year, this partnership with Allied Leisure Group is particularly meaningful. It reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting Scotland’s most exciting hospitality ventures. Clydeside Containers represents a bold new chapter in Glasgow’s food and drink scene, and we’re proud to be part of its story from the outset.”
Clydeside Containers the riverside venue built entirely from repurposed shipping containers, brings together food, drink, live entertainment, and community events. Located on the banks of the Clyde, it has already confirmed a line-up of vendors, including Pizza Cult, Sub 126, Greek Street Yeeros, Café XO, The Crumbleologist, and Rabbit Food.
The seventh unit has been reserved as a rotating container for pop-ups and short-term residencies, offering a platform for emerging chefs, bakers, drink-makers and creatives to test new ideas.
“We wanted to leave space for the unexpected,” said Dario Bernardi, Co-founder of Clydeside Containers. “Vendor 7 is about giving someone with a brilliant idea the opportunity to bring it to life – whether that’s for a day, a weekend or a full week. It keeps the space fresh, exciting, and always evolving.”
Applications for Vendor 7 are now open.
