Award-winning American restaurant Monterey Jack’s will reopen in Glasgow city centre later this month, taking a new location at St. Enoch Centre after closing its previous Merchant Square site in 2023.

The restaurant, which has held the title of Scotland’s best burger establishment for five consecutive years, specialises in North American cuisine with Texan influences.

Gary Marshall, owner of Monterey Jack’s Glasgow, said, “We’re pleased to return to Glasgow city centre at St. Enoch Centre. Since closing our Merchant Square location in 2023, we’ve received numerous requests from customers asking us to return to the city centre. We’ve built a strong customer base in Glasgow and look forward to serving them again.”

Ian Shorrock, Head of Retail at Praxis, which recently acquired St. Enoch Centre, said, “We’re pleased to welcome Monterey Jack’s to St. Enoch Centre. The return of this established restaurant brand to the city centre represents a positive development for Glasgow’s food and beverage offering while contributing to local employment growth.”

Monterey Jack’s is scheduled to open at St. Enoch Centre in late June and it is expected to create around 20 new jobs within Glasgow’s hospitality sector.
