The team behind Glasgow’s Santa Lucia restaurants is set to open a new Italian venue in Hamilton later this month.
The new restaurant, called Sofia by Santa Lucia, will be located on Almada Street in the premises formerly occupied by Mibbies Aye. It is expected to open to the public on 28 August.
This marks the fourth site for the Santa Lucia group, which also has premises in Glasgow’s West End and Merchant City, offering traditional Italian dishes including handmade pasta and wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. The new Hamilton venue will follow a similar format, with a focus on fresh ingredients, regional Italian recipes and an extended wine list.
The venue will be overseen by Head Chef Michele and Executive Manager Giuseppe, who both bring previous experience from the group’s other locations.
