Prezzo Italian has launched an updated package of employee benefits designed to recognise quality, reward consistency, and strengthen its team’s connection to the Italian culture that defines the brand.

It includes a cultural leave initiative offering staff 10% extra annual leave when they choose to holiday in Italy with the aim of immersing team members in the food, people, and hospitality that inspire the business and bring those experiences back to the restaurant floor. The scheme forms part of a wider repositioning strategy as the group invests in new sites and refurbishments, with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent.

“At Prezzo Italian, we believe our people are our most important ingredient,” said James Brown, CEO of Prezzo Italian. “By giving our teams more opportunities to experience Italy, we strengthen their connection to the brand and bring that authenticity back into our restaurants.”

Two performance-based initiatives are also being introduced including the Head Chef Quality Certification with a new Bronze, Silver and Gold scheme to recognise Head Chefs for consistency and quality, with awards based on performance metrics and online sentiment monitoring and a Mystery Guest Bonus. This iniative rewards the restaurants achieving an average score of 92% or above across four mystery visits which will unlock a £250 bonus for senior staff and a shared £250 bonus for servers. Each quarter, the top-scoring site will receive an additional £1,000 team reward.

“We are building an organisation that rewards excellence and celebrates our people,” added Brown. “These new benefits put a spotlight on quality, service, and passion. As we grow, refurbish, and open new restaurants, this is how we ensure the very best talent wants to build their future with Prezzo Italian.”

The move follows the brand’s revitalisation strategy, which began in May. Alongside 15 refurbishments scheduled for 2025, a further 40 are now planned for 2026.
