The Corinthian Club in Glasgow has been confirmed as the official home of Team Scotland House for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, with the Scotsman Group-operated venue acting as a hub for athletes, supporters and commercial partners during the Games, which run from 23 July to 2 August 2026.
Team Scotland House has played a central role in Commonwealth Games campaigns since 1998, and its return to Glasgow brings the concept full circle – creating a city-centre base just minutes from Central and Queen Street stations.
Backed by £150,000 in funding from the Scottish Government and sportscotland, The Corinthian will host a packed schedule of events and activations, ranging from media showcases and partner receptions to public exhibitions and retail opportunities.
“The Corinthian Club is absolutely delighted to be announced as the official Team Scotland House for the Commonwealth Games,” said Graham Urquhart, Director of Sales at The Scotsman Group. “Over the past two decades we’ve been fortunate to host a number of major events and sporting campaigns, and this honour feels like a wonderful continuation of that journey. With national pride at an all-time high, we look forward to working together to deliver an unforgettable experience for athletes, supporters and our community.”
The venue will offer dedicated areas for athletes, friends, families and former competitors to relax and reconnect, while also providing space for business forums, commercial partner activations and cultural programming linked to the Games.
Jon Doig OBE, Chief Executive at Commonwealth Games Scotland, said, “Team Scotland House will provide our athletes, their families and friends, partners and supporters a place to come together, socialise and connect, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to The Corinthian Club next summer.”
Health Secretary Neil Gray confirmed the Government’s investment in the initiative, saying, “By bringing sport, culture and business under one roof we will ensure Glasgow 2026 delivers benefits that extend far beyond the Games. This is an exciting international event and the Scottish Government is committed to maximising its economic opportunities while delivering a lasting sporting, social and business legacy.”
Team Scotland House will also act as a platform to promote sectors including renewable energy, fintech, tourism, and food and drink. With The Games expected to attract around 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories, the visitor spend and media attention is estimated to deliver an £150 million boost to the Scottish economy.
