Popeyes® UK has confirmed plans to open its first restaurant in Dundee later this winter, making it the brand’s ninth location in Scotland since launching in Barrhead in 2023.
The new restaurant will open at Kingsway West Retail Park and follows a strong year of growth for the brand, which saw more than 45 new sites open across the UK in 2025. The Dundee opening will bring Popeyes®’ Louisiana-style fried chicken to the city for the first time, as part of its continued rollout across Scotland.
The site will feature a 54-cover indoor restaurant, 16 additional seats outdoors, and four kerbside ‘Park & Serve’ bays for customers collecting online orders. In total, the opening is expected to create 81 new jobs locally.
