Dunoon is to host its first ever food and drink festival in July, with local producers, street food vendors and cooking demonstrations all set to feature across a free two-day event.

The programme will include talks, tastings, cooking demonstrations and workshops, as well as a dedicated Taste Dunoon Trail. Producers taking part will cover a range of local fare including cheeses, fresh seafood, handcrafted sweet treats, locally made rhubarb-flavoured soft drinks and frozen margaritas. Street food will also be available, including plant-based food with an Asian twist from Planted By Sai.

Ciorsdan Fagan of Dunoon Presents said the festival aimed to raise the town’s profile as a food destination. “We want to showcase the very best food and drink with the ultimate aim of turning Dunoon into a real ‘foodie’ destination on the west coast of Scotland,” she said.

Organisers have also indicated that an award-winning celebrity chef will be involved, with further details to be announced as the programme develops.

Taste Dunoon is one of several events Dunoon Presents has scheduled for 2025, which also includes Punk on the Peninsula in May, the Argyll Rally in June, and Dunoon Tradfest in September.
