LOMA by Graeme Cheevers at Cameron House Hotel and Sunlaws Restaurant at SCHLOSS Roxburghe have both received three AA Rosettes, one of the hospitality sector’s longest-established benchmarks, taking the total number of AA Rosette restaurants in Scotland to 165.
At Cameron House on Loch Lomond, LOMA by Graeme Cheevers was recognised for a menu built around seasonal ingredients and Scottish produce. The restaurant offers dishes including hand-dived Orkney scallops with Muscade pumpkin, sea buckthorn and finger lime, as well as roasted saddle of Borders venison.
In the Borders, Sunlaws Restaurant at SCHLOSS Roxburghe also received three AA Rosettes. Set within a Jacobean mansion surrounded by 300 acres of parkland and woodland, the restaurant specialises in classic European cooking using Scottish produce, including ingredients sourced from the estate. Dishes highlighted include glazed veal sweetbreads with grilled peas, black garlic and lovage, and pan-fried turbot with piperade, turbot bouillabaisse and rouille.
They join a strong line-up of Scottish venues already recognised by the guide, including The Restaurant at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, The Kitchin in Edinburgh and Number One at The Balmoral.
The latest awards reflect continued momentum in Scotland’s food and hospitality sector, with restaurants across the country continuing to earn recognition for quality, technique and the use of Scottish produce.
