Cold Town Beer has been announced as the official sponsor of the USA vs Canada NHL Alumni exhibition series, which comes to Murrayfield Ice Rink in Edinburgh later this month.

The series, organised by Hockey4all, will see former National Hockey League professionals from the United States and Canada compete in what is being billed as the biggest ice hockey event ever staged in the UK. Players confirmed to take part include Milan Lucic, Mike Knuble, Bobby Ryan and Scott Darling.

Cold Town House in the Grassmarket, home of Cold Town Beer, will host a meet and greet event with NHL Alumni players on Friday 24 April staged in partnership with Scotland Ice Hockey. The evening will include a live Q&A, player meet and greets, drinks, pizza and merchandise giveaways.

Ruth Reid, brand and marketing manager for Cold Town Beer, said “As a city-born brewery, we’re passionate about supporting the venues and organisations that bring world-class sport to the capital. Supporting a sport played on the ice feels like a natural fit for Cold Town. It’s sharp, high-energy and rooted in a setting that reflects our brand perfectly.”

Ryan Bahl, founder and chief executive of Hockey4all, said, “Partnering with Cold Town Beer allows us to create an incredible fan experience beyond the rink, and the engagement at Cold Town House brings supporters together in a way that truly grows the game through a celebration of hockey, partnership, and community.”
