Donald Trump has bought Turnberry Resort in Ayrshire. He is believed to have paid Leisurecorp in the region of £37.5m for the hotel, golf courses and spa. Turnberry’s Ailsa Course has hosted four Open Championships to date, and Trump has declared his intention to make it the “finest golf hotel in the world”.
