Macmerry Ltd has put back the opening of Nola from the end of December to January 2020 – its late-night bar concept below its King of Islington unit on Dundee’s Union Street.

Co-director AJ Mcmenemy (pictured with business partner Grant Anderson) told DRAM, “It’s a 100-capacity subterranean late night cocktail bar and we aren’t going to get it opened in time for the festivities as originally planned. The focus will be on customer
service with mixed level seating and no dance floor. It will be open from 5 pm to 2.30 am seven days. The interior will be constructed from a mixture of copper and wood.”
