Are you cut out to be more than just a cog in the wheel? Do you see yourself as being part of the next generation of tourism industry leaders? Are you 30 or under and already working in the Glasgow Tourism or Visitor Economy sectors ? Then read on because Glasgow’s new industry network for tourism, Experience Glasgow, has launched a new development course called the Aspiring Leaders Programme, starting in late February and now open for entries for just 14 places.
Strategic workshops, guest speakers and the development and implementation of a real-world initiative are the foundations of the programme which aims to improve the visitor experience in the city at destination level, and also benefit the individual businesses.
The leadership programme is delivered by Connect Three, in partnership with Scottish Enterprise and Experience Glasgow, working to help achieve the priorities and ambitions of Glasgow’s Tourism and Visitor Plan to 2023.
Emma Woodham (pictured with Krzysztof-Kaminiski of Ibis Glasgow City Centre) , of Glasgow Science Centre is a previous participant in the programme. She said, “Participating in the Aspiring Leaders Programme has made me feel even more of a part of Glasgow’s service network. I enjoyed the chance to share best practice with other delegates and a really special element of the programme was the tours, which allowed me to learn about different attractions across the city.”
Deadlines for entry is 7 February, through this link
