Buzzworks staff reach another charity milestone

Buzzworks-People-Team

The People and Operations Teams at Buzzworks Holdings have completed another milestone in their virtual travel challenge by raising £305 for Hospitality Action. This takes the total raised so far during lockdown for the charity that offers a range of support services for people working within the hospitality industry to £930.

The team ( (pictured) ) walked, ran and cycled the distance between all Buzzworks venues across Ayrshire and beyond, an equivalent of 16 marathons, and smashing their target in May by raising more than £600 for charity.

Everyone was tasked with collectively clocking steps to reach the equivalent distance from Lands End to John O’Groats, inspired by Hospitality Acton’s 20,000 miles around the UK border concept. It took just two weeks for the team to reach John O’Groats so everyone was asked to keep moving in aid of charity and complete the return journey too – totalling 1,407 miles.

Carole Lamond, Buzzworks Holdings People Director, said, “Keeping our teams engaged and encouraging a healthy mindset has been a priority for us and it’s been great to see so many people getting involved with our fundraisers and cheering each other on.”
