Glasgow city council has confirmed that developer Joe Mulholland’s application for a 60-seater restaurant in Glasgow’s Hidden Lane in Finnieston has been given consent at the Planning Local Review Committee following an appeal.

Joe has been planning the change of use since 2018 and councillors agreed that the development can go-ahead after initially being refused permission twice over concerns about potential noise, traffic and pedestrian safety.

Joe told DRAM, “We hope to have it open in six months to a year and a number of people have expressed an interest in operating it and the final decision won’t come down to money because I’m more interested in having a high quality operation that fits with all the other businesses in the  Hidden Lane such as boutiques and galleries.”
