The Public House Table Service Restriction grant is expected to open for applications ‘shortly’ on the Scottish Government’s website.

The grant award is based on rateable value and the premises must have been registered for non-domestic rates on 20 December 2021.  Those paying rates of £51k or below can apply for the one-off grant of £2,500 while those paying £51k and above can apply for a one-off £5,000 grant.  The deadline for applications is 11 February and payments will be made within 14 days of receipt of the application.

To qualify for the grant you must confirm that the business has a license to sell alcohol in an indoor setting and is a registered public house, that the business was operating on 20th December 2021 and open for normal trading. The business must also be the rate-paying occupant of the premises.

According to the Government website, individual ratepayers with more than one business may receive an award for each registered business entity.

The application will be available at https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-business-funding/hospitality/public-house-table-service-restrictions-fund-january-2022/
