Dundee Cocktail Week returns for its third year this summer – taking place in July instead of October – and follows on from the first Dundee Food Festival at the start of the same month.
The 10-day cocktail celebration begins on July 19 and already more than 25 venues have signed up including Bird and Bear, Jute Bar and Temple Lane, The Barrelman, Bertie Mooney’s and The Tinsmith.
Restaurants are also taking part with The Tayberry, Malmaison, Black Mamba and The Horeb Food Co all offering unique menus and dishes throughout the event.
Not to be left out, Hotel Indigo is the official Hotel Partner of 2024, offering event-goers a discounted price on overnight stays and with their restaurant Daisy Tasker and its new lobby bar, Eighteen 22, both taking part in the event.
Dundee Cocktail Week, which first launched in 2022 is estimated to have generated £487k for the local economy last year alone, and this year organisers M.ad Agency, based in Dundee, wanted to showcase the city’s hospitality scene to both locals and visitors, capturing the busy summer market.
Alice Christison, director of M.ad Agency, said: “Following on from the success of previous events and with Dundee Food Festival coming up in July, too, we wanted to continue the momentum of supporting local and have launched the event earlier this year.
“Dundee Cocktail Week has always been popular with locals and independent businesses, and by offering unique discounts at various bars and restaurants we’ll get more people out enjoying Dundee’s hospitality industry.
“There’s no denying times have been challenging for venues in and around the city, but the feedback we receive from businesses is that the event is always a huge help in driving customers through their doors and bringing new clientele in, too. We’re excited to bring the event back.”
