Celentano’s, which first opened in 2021 and closed at Cathedral House in the Glasgow’s East End at the end of last year following the sale of the building, will re-open at Arthouse Glasgow on 24 June.

The new restaurant from Anna and Dean Parker, will give Celentano’s a larger space, with more than 60 covers across one level with the interior resigned by A-nrd Studio.

Dean’s ingredient-led, minimal-waste approach will remain at the heart of the Italian-influenced menu. Produce will be cooked over embers to add smoky flavours, while fermentation and preservation will continue to feature. The kitchen will also continue to use whole animals, often butchered in-house.

The drinks list, led by Anna, will use seasonal cocktails made with kitchen by-products. Most of the liqueurs will be made in-house, including vermouth for the Celentano’s negroni, orange liqueur for margaritas, and 0% vermouth for its NOgroni. The wine list, which includes wines on tap, will continue to focus on biodynamic and organic producers and will change with the food menu.

Anna said, “This version of Celentano’s will feel more like us – what we would have envisaged our restaurant like, before we ever opened Celentano’s. Cathedral House was such a great opportunity for us, but there was a limit on how much we could do with the space. This time we are starting with a blank canvas, and building up a brand new restaurant – working with unbelievably creative people who have the same vision as us.”

Arthouse Glasgow will be the first hotel from new British hotel group Oberland. The hotel occupies a 19th century townhouse in the city centre and will have 76 en-suite bedrooms.
